I was honestly so anxious about the first Girls Night I joined! I didn’t know if I would have anything in common with the other girls and if we would click but I was worrying for nothing really 🥹 The ice breakers were so great to get to know one another- When I left the first Playhard event I already knew I could hit up the girls to suggest new activities or just meet up for a coffee and we ended up doing exactly that. 

For any new girls I would suggest coming to events even if you feel anxious and nervous around new people. It’s such a fun and safe environment with no judgement and you leave as friends so the risk to reward ratio is excellent 🥰

Before coming to the Girls Night, I was honestly nervous but also really really hopeful. I had just moved to Switzerland, and I was craving female friendships but I’m usually quite introverted and careful about who I open up to, so I was worried it might just be a light, casual event, and that I wouldn’t really connect with anyone.

But I was so pleasantly surprised. At the event, I met some amazing girls—warm, open, and just real. Since then, those connections have grown into real friendships. We talk about personal stuff, support each other, and share everyday moments—whether it’s just grabbing a coffee, playing padel, cooking Italian ravioli together or planning our next get-together.

One of the best part is how natural it all felt. We’ve shared drinks, laughs, and deeper conversations about family, relationships, and life abroad. It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one navigating this experience.

But honestly, this one evening opened the door to so many beautiful connections for me. You never know who you’ll meet or how much it might mean to you later. Just show up. You don’t have to be perfect or outgoing—just be open. It could change everything.

Before coming to my first Girls Night, I felt a little nervous and unsure I’d connect with anyone, but I had made a promise to myself to make friendships a priority, so I kept showing up to different events and I’m so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I have met an incredible community of girls, some whom I see very regularly. One of my closest friends I met not at the first event but gradually over time and our friendship has grown into something really special. We’ve gone skiing together, done pottery and jewellery making, played countless padel sessions with other PlayHard girls, organized a games night with our boyfriends, and even took a spontaneous day trip to Milan for Christmas shopping. Lilian has become a true friend—someone I can laugh with, lean on, and share life with. To any girl feeling lonely or unsure about joining, I’d say: give it a chance and keep showing up- sometimes the most meaningful friendships often start when you least expect them, built little by little through shared moments and genuine connection.
