I was worrying for nothing..
I was honestly so anxious about the first girls night I joined! I didn’t know if I would have anything in common with the other girls and if we would click but I was worrying for nothing really 🥹 The ice breakers were so great to get to know one another- When I left the first Playhard event I already knew I could hit up the girls to suggest new activities or just meet up for a coffee and we ended up doing exactly that.
For any new girls I would suggest coming to events even if you feel anxious and nervous around new people. It’s such a fun and safe environment with no judgement and you leave as friends so the risk to reward ratio is excellent 🥰

They couldn't let each other go
Before coming to Playhard Night, I was honestly nervous but also really really hopeful. I had just moved to Switzerland, and I was craving female friendships but I’m usually quite introverted and careful about who I open up to, so I was worried it might just be a light, casual event, and that I wouldn’t really connect with anyone.
But I was so pleasantly surprised. At the event, I met some amazing girls—warm, open, and just real. Since then, those connections have grown into real friendships. We talk about personal stuff, support each other, and share everyday moments—whether it’s just grabbing a coffee, playing padel, cooking Italian ravioli together or planning our next get-together.
One of the best part is how natural it all felt. We’ve shared drinks, laughs, and deeper conversations about family, relationships, and life abroad. It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one navigating this experience.
But honestly, this one evening opened the door to so many beautiful connections for me. You never know who you’ll meet or how much it might mean to you later. Just show up. You don’t have to be perfect or outgoing—just be open. It could change everything.

From Girls Night to Bachelorette Party
As a self-employed expat who moved to Switzerland right when COVID-19 started, meeting new people has been really challenging. I attended many social events and meetups, but they were often too broad in terms of gender and age group, which made it hard to build real connections. With PlayHard, I found myself surrounded by a group of amazing women around my age. I’m so grateful I found the courage to attend that very first event.

Before coming to my first Girls Night, I felt a little nervous and unsure I’d connect with anyone, but I had made a promise to myself to make friendships a priority, so I kept showing up to different events and I’m so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I have met an incredible community of girls, some whom I see very regularly. One of my closest friends I met not at the first event but gradually over time and our friendship has grown into something really special. We’ve gone skiing together, done pottery and jewellery making, played countless padel sessions with other PlayHard girls, organized a games night with our boyfriends, and even took a spontaneous day trip to Milan for Christmas shopping. Lilian has become a true friend—someone I can laugh with, lean on, and share life with. To any girl feeling lonely or unsure about joining, I’d say: give it a chance and keep showing up- sometimes the most meaningful friendships often start when you least expect them, built little by little through shared moments and genuine connection.

You know that feeling? You go to a fun event, meet cool people, leave feeling super energized... and then... nothing. Maybe you try to follow up and have a coffee date, but the busy schedules and the awkwardness and fear of imposing win over.
That’s the exact feeling we want to remove at Playhard.
We’re not here for networking or meetups of 100+ people.
We're a social club for girls (25-35ish) who want to build real friendships. The kind that are built on shared adventures, weird inside jokes, and a little bit of vulnerability.
Because you see the same faces at our events, from brunches to game nights, you actually get to deepen friendships over time. It’s less like a meetup and more like your built-in friend group, complete with “who’s free after work?” messages in the group chat, spontaneous weekend hike offers, and birthday celebrations.
More than events, we’re the support system and social life you’ve been looking for in Zurich.

No, we have girls joining from towns and cantons surrounding Zurich also. However, note that all official Playhard events happen in Zurich.

Your membership grants you access to all of our events: half of which are complementary, and the other half that require more resources (eg. paint&sip, brunch with a stylist, pilates) will be charged at discounted member rates. We’ve got you!

We have a mix of weekend and weekday evening events to cater to different schedules.

We intentionally designed our membership around a quarterly (3-month) cycle instead of a monthly one. While it might seem like a bigger commitment upfront, our experience and behavioral science shows it's a better way to help you build the deep, meaningful friendships you're looking for.
